The gravity filter is simple: it consists of two water tanks stacked one on top of the other. The upper one is pierced at its base to hold one to four filters depending on the model and the size. The bigger the gravity filter, the more filters it has and the faster it will filter the water you fill it with.

The lower tank is pierced at only one point, for the tap, from which you can draw the filtered drinking water! You just have to fill the filter with water, wait, and enjoy pure, drinkable water!

Generally, gravity filters are made of high-quality stainless steel, which limits the risks linked to the way water changes in contact with metal.

The water is purified by the filters, making it possible to drink any water: ponds, lakes, rivers.

Micro-filtration removes:

✅ Microscopic viruses and bacteria.

✅ Radioactive Contaminants (plutonium, uranium, polonium): Were you told that Chernobyl stopped at the border?

✅ Heavy metals: Aluminium, Mercury, Nickel,...

✅ Pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides,...

✅ Organic solvents.

✅ Detergents derived from petroleum.

✅ Semi-volatile and pharmaceutical contaminants, more and more present in water.

✅ Disinfectants.

✅ Removal of the taste and the odours of the water.

✅ Giving pure water with its minerals.

How much does a Gravity filter cost?

The basic investment can reach 300 €, gravity filters are all these prices. It is a tidy sum, but we are talking about an investment that will still be there after you if you look after it well.
